Labels

Silvatech is labelled as a Collective Scientific Infrastructure (ISC) by INRAE (DISC-CNOC) and as a Research Support Infrastructure (INFRA+) by Lorraine Université d’Excellence since 2019. Both labeling processes rely on similar pillars: openness to research communities, development, and training. They validate the scientific and technological relevance of the infrastructure as well as the organizational models implemented for openness, expertise, budget, and data management.

For our institute, the key objectives are to:

  • build a renewed, modern, recognized, and attractive infrastructure landscape;
  • map their strategic infrastructure system;
  • provide a higher level of technological support to research communities;
  • open, recognize, and increase the visibility of labelled infrastructures;
  • assess the quality standards and relevance of labelled infrastructures;
  • optimize the use of human and financial resources;
  • support and renew methods of resource allocation;
  • ensure control over shared biological resources, devices, methods, and data.

For labelled infrastructures, the key objectives are to:

  • anchor in a continuous improvement approach (strategy, organization, governance, technological developments, and services) toward the highest standards (QMS, CSR, ISO 9001/14001, structural data management plans, GDPR, MRPUE, health charters, CRB/collections, etc.);
  • integrate into a broad community of expertise, support, and knowledge sharing;
  • open up and increase outreach to academic and private communities;
  • project themselves into national and European networks;
  • assess their visibility, capacity for improvement, and receive support in this regard;
  • maintain financial and human resources support;
  • have privileged access to resources allocated by supervisory bodies.
