Preparation/Sending of samples

All raw or processed samples provided to SILVATECH for measurements must be accompanied by a digital list of the samples, an explanation of the acronyms used, and key details of the experiment (treatment, species, batches...). This list must be sent by email to the address silvatech@inrae.fr before the arrival of the samples. The absence of a list will systematically block the preparation/measurement steps.

The samples brought to the SILVATECH platform will be the responsibility of the applicant. It is therefore their responsibility to report any known pollution/contamination (metals, organic products, carcinogens, mutagens, biological hazards, radioactivity...) as soon as the work request is made.

In the case of samples sent by parcel, the platform will provide prior recommendations (address, packaging, parcel with tracking number) but cannot be held responsible for the degradation of the samples during transport. For samples coming from abroad, the scientist commits to complying with the current European regulations on the importation of samples into French territory (phytosanitary passport, official authorization letter). If applicable, the shipping and customs fees will be borne by the applicant.

Once the preparation is complete, the applicant is responsible for the retrieval and/or disposal of the remaining samples. Conservation and storage solutions for samples may be offered by the platform, beyond the duration of the project and depending on the volumes.
